Thousands of protestors gather in the streets of Serbia in an effort to preserve family, religion, and traditional moral values this was the scene in Belgrade, Serbia’s capital city the people were about an upcoming European gay pride event to be hosted in the city in mid-September the march was led by clergy from the Serbian Orthodox Church.
Bishops from that church believe the pride event threatens traditional family values and should be banned. Protestors held signs that said “save our children and family,” many also carried crosses and religious flags as they prayed and chanted.
Serbia’s president has said the event, euro pride, would be scrapped or held later for safety reasons but event organizers are determined to press on with the parade.
