Many of these protesters were seen holding Palestinian flags and displaying “Free Palestine” signs.
The people voiced their disapproval toward British and US governments for their support of Israel. The protestors emphasized that their stance was not against any religious group but against the perceived oppression of Palestinians. However, the attendees were keen to stress that their support for Palestine does not equate to Antisemitism.
The protest, while largely peaceful, did see some minor clashes with the police and the use of fireworks against the police. Several arrests were made, predominantly for refusal to remove face masks.
