Congratulations world!
According to projections from the United Nations, the global population is now more than eight billion people!
In a recent statement, the u-n says this is a time to celebrate our diversity, recognize our common humanity, and marvel at advancements in health that have extended lifespans and dramatically reduced maternal and child mortality rates. This is amazing considering the UN, the WHO and pretty much every other player on the global stage is doing the exact opposite.
According to the UN, the global population is growing at its slowest rate since 19-50, having fallen under one percent in 20-20. But future predictions are much brighter. The latest projections suggest that the world’s population could grow to around 8-point-5 billion in 20-30 and 9-point-7 billion in 20-50. It is projected to reach a peak of around 10-point-4 billion people during the 20-80’s and to remain at that level until 21-hundred.
There’s no explanation for why the population would peak at that time, but no doubt the u-n hopes their depopulation plan will be in full swing by then.
