When you think of a tesla car- what comes to mind?
High tech? Good for the environment?
What happens if the car catches fire?
Take a look at this mess. A tesla car caught on fire in Connecticut. It took 42-minutes and 25-thousand gallons of water to extinguish the flames. Normal car fires only need a single hose line- this tesla fire took three times the normal amount.
Oh and don’t forget about the dangerous chemical reaction between water and burning lithium. Fire departments have begun recognizing that electric vehicle fires pose a significant danger and need further training to handle them appropriately. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
