Five neighborhoods in the town, located about 300 kilometers or 186 miles from the capital, have been submerged due to the Parana River overflow. Nationwide, approximately 35 thousand individuals have been affected, with close to 3 thousand seven hundred people in Ayolas forced to evacuate their homes.
Children have resorted to using boats as a means of getting to school. Some residents have set up camps in anticipation of their homes being flooded. More storms are expected over the weekend due to the El Nino effect.
