The new prime minister of England, Liz Truss, seems to be having a difficult time in her new role. Last week, we told you about her abysmal approval ratings, and now three conservative members of parliament have called for her resignation.
Well, that didn’t take long.
Truss is now considered the least popular prime minister in UK history according to a recent poll. In just over a month in office, truss presided over a massive shift in public sentiment against her party, which could lose hundreds of seats in parliament.
Truss was forced into a total reversal on her fiscal agenda, rolling back unfunded tax cuts and axing so-called “free market” reforms that threatened massive cuts to public services. As many as 100 no-confidence letters have reportedly been submitted by senior members of parliament- who have not yet gone public.
