The Morit International School, also known as Green Minds Academy, allows parents to pay their children’s tuition fees using plastic bottles.
This initiative is serving dual purposes helping families struggling with education costs and promoting environmental awareness. The program enables students to bring at least 20 plastic bottles per term as tuition fees, which are then recycled into useful products through a partnership with a recycling company.
The unique approach has helped the founder of the school overcome the financial barriers faced by families in his community while also tackling the problem of plastic waste. The program’s dual impact on education and sustainability has not only facilitated a more ecofriendly lifestyle in the community but also made education more accessible to children from low-income families.
