In London, it’s getting harder and harder to transport people!
Heathrow airport has ordered airlines to stop selling tickets for the rest of the summer, insisting it must limit itself to 100,000 passengers per day until September 11th, an interesting day.
The airport’s CEO says once that threshold has been reached- the service drops to a level that is not acceptable- including massive flight delays, failures in baggage transportation, and last-minute cancellations. He said there are too many passengers and not enough employees.
In 2020, Heathrow averaged about 220,000 passengers per day between arrivals and departures.
So, why can’t you do it now? Oh… The jabby jab, that’s right.
