So, what happens when a child reaches puberty and starts questioning their own gender identity?
Perhaps we should ask Wendell Perez.
Perez testified to the Florida state surgeon general that clay county district schools secretly “transitioned” his 12-year-old daughter without his knowledge and “affirmed” a male name and pronouns. This confusion ultimately contributed to her attempted suicide in a school bathroom. Could situations like this be avoided with better communication between parents and their children?
The Perez family filed a lawsuit earlier this year against the school district, which has disputed the family’s claims.
Similar lawsuits have been filed in California and Wisconsin.
