According to the report from a French parliamentary committee, Macron made a secret agreement with Uber that allowed them to access the country, in exchange for removing their controversial Uber app service.
The committee’s enquiry was sparked by the “Uber Files”, a series of documents leaked to the British newspaper the guardian by Mark McGann, a former lobbyist for Uber. During their investigations, the committee heard from 120 people, including former prime ministers and Uber executives.
