Former President Donald Trump made an appearance at Manhattan Criminal Court, where he was arrested on charges related to a hush money payment, he allegedly made during the 2016 presidential campaign to porn actress Stormy Daniels. The former president pleaded not guilty to all 34 criminal charges. Once inside, he was fingerprinted, but he was not handcuffed and no mugshot was reportedly taken.
Trump’s attorneys have denounced the charges as politically motivated and illegal, while District Attorney Alvin Bragg is pushing forward with what appears to be a case of election fraud.
Meanwhile, pro-Democrat protesters attempted to drown out their cheers with noise makers and insults in an attempt to celebrate Trump’s indictment. Despite this politically charged atmosphere surrounding his arrest, Trump has reportedly raised millions of dollars for his 2024 re-election campaign since news of his impending indictment broke last Friday.
After his plea, Trump left Manhattan and traveled back to his Mar-a-Lago home where he made a speech in front of a crowd of supporters.
Trump is not due back in court until December.
