Former president Donald Trump was indicted for the second time this week, with sources confirming that he faces at least seven charges related to his handling of classified documents.
These include counts of willful retention of national defense information, conspiracy to obstruct justice, withholding a document or record, corruptly concealing a document or record, concealing a document in a federal investigation, scheme to conceal, and false statements and representations.
In response to the indictment, trump took to social media where he wrote that he had been told of the charges and called them a “hoax.” He also posted a video to his Truth Social platform, claiming his innocence in the matter.
And if the second indictment wasn’t bad enough, two of Trumps lawyers, Jim Trusty and John Rowly, officially resigned in a statement released today. They said they are no longer representing Trump with the indictments or the January 6th investigation.
