Citizens in China storm a bank after their assets were reportedly frozen. Video of a massive protest in Zhengzhou is making the rounds on social media.
On Sunday, more than one-thousand demonstrators backed the streets- some arriving as early as 4 A.M. — to avoid authorities. The crowd, which included the elderly and children, occupied a flight of imposing stairs outside the bank, chanting slogans and holding up banners.
This protest is believed to be the fourth in a series of protests by bank users who demanded their life savings back from banks that have run into a cash crisis- with no relief in sight.
