The United Nation’s World Food Programme WFP to suspend food aid to 200,000 Palestinians due to funding shortage
The United Nation, World Food Programme, or WFP, plans to suspend food aid to more than 200 thousand Palestinians, citing a "severe" shortage of funds. The majority of the impacted families are based in Gaza where food insecurity and poverty levels are at an all-time high. The United Nations agency offers a range of monthly vouchers, valued at around $10.30 per person, as well as food baskets to impoverished Palestinians, both of which will be affected by the suspension.
