Iranian social media platforms have been rocked by a series of scandalous videos featuring high-ranking ultraconservative officials participating in homosexual activities, despite homosexuality being a capital offense in the country.
Among those implicated is Reza Seghati, the director general of the ministry of culture’s office, who is known for his hardline conservative stance and restrictions on women’s freedoms. A video that surfaced on Telegram showed Seghati in an intimate encounter with another man, unaware of being filmed.
This revelation stirred significant outrage on social media, with many accusing him of hypocrisy. Mohammad Safari, a member of the anal municipal council, has also been implicated in a separate scandal involving videos of drug use and explicit content. The scandal has sent shockwaves through the Islamic regime, even reaching Iran’s national security council.
